[ Tutorial ] Stud earings from polymer clay and dressmaker's pins
Guess who got more super glue. O:

If you have sensitive ears or only recently got them pierced I don't recommend trying this, since you'll probably infect your ears. It's also a good idea to serialize the pins before hand by soaking them in boiling water or disinfectant. Pretty much, if you get an infection it's not my fault, ok?

You will need:
Polymer clay
Dressmaker's pins
Reasonably thick cardboard
Wire cutters/ heavy scissors (Not like these ones, they didn't work.)
And maybe super glue

1.
Make the shapes you want for the earings. If it's a pretty simple design you can stick the ends of the pins straight into the back, but if you don't want to squish it then just put a blob of clay on the end and flatten it.

2. Bake according to instructions on the packet. (15 minutes at 140 seems about right for most brands)
I find it better to bake polymer clay on a sheet of tin-foil instead of a baking tray to avoid getting crumbs in it, and also since it doesn't absorb heat I can take it straight out of the oven without oven-gloves.

3. If your stud is in two parts glue them together. Cut small squares from the cardboard and poke the pin through the center.

4. Cut the pins about 1cm from the stud. HOLD ON TO THE THE POINTY END WHILE YOU CUT, THEY ARE SHARP AND VERY HARD TO FIND IN YOUR CARPET.
Slide the cardboard ends on and your done.
